The Mass. Four-ball starts on Wednesday at The Club at New Seabury. The field will play both the Dunes and the Ocean Course at New Seabury over the two-day stroke-play event.
Last year, Steve Tasho Jr. and Tommy Harrison tied the scoring record (-17) and held off Ricky Stimets and Kevin Blaser, who made a late charge but finished two shots off the pace.
Due to the timing of this event, there is no qualifier. Instead, teams are selected based on their combined handicap after registration. Over the years, the event has become more and more popular, and this is the second year the field was selected in this manner. Prior to 2023, the field was filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The scoring last year was far better than in past years. This will be worth keeping an eye on this year again.
LAST YEAR: Steve Tasho and Tommy Harrison win Four-Ball
There are only two teams in the field who have won the Mass Four-ball — Tasho Jr./Harrison and Matt Parziale/Herbie Aikens. However, there are a number of past winners with different partners paying this week.
