Sean Noonan finished his 10th season as the St. John’s Shrewsbury (Mass.) coach with a Division 1 state championship. Over those years, the Pioneers have been consistently near the top of the state rankings.
Before taking the job at St. John’s, Noonan played professionally for nearly a decade. He made several runs at PGA Tour Q-School and also played a full season on the Canadian Tour. Once his professional career came to an end, Noonan used his civil engineering degree from Old Dominion to lead the construction of two golf courses in Connecticut – Wintonberry Hills and Tashua Knolls.
He’s the latest guest on the On Course Podcast.
In this episode, Noonan shares stories about his love of competitive golf, highlights and lowlights of life on the road, playing an Open Championship qualifier in Scotland, and how he’s used his experience to help reach his St. John’s players.
