The days are long during the New England summer. With so many golf courses across the region, it's pretty easy to wake up early and play 36 holes of golf at two different courses.
There are certainly 36-hole venues where golfers don't have to hop in the car to drive for their second rounds, but Jim McCabe and Sean Melia roll through a collection of courses that we think would make up an excellent day of golf. Even if 36 holes aren't in your future, these combos offer a great weekend of golf or the start of a mini-vacation if you're looking for a golf trip close to home.
Part of our stipulations for this discussion were that they needed to be public courses and ones that we've played before. That means we left courses off this list that probably deserve to be part of the discourse. If you have a 36-hole day you think we should check out, send an email to [email protected].
