As the cool breeze of fall blows in, so does the start of college golf season.
College golf is a rare breed that has two seasons — fall and spring. The fall provides a chance for first-years players to make a mark and for returning players to show they’ve been working hard over the summer. For some players, they’ll be joining a new squad as a transfer.
While the spring season carries a bit more weight, with berths into national championships on the line, the fall can set the tone for how teams prepare over the winter in order to peak at the right time.
New England golfers are heading to campuses far and wide. Some big names will be on new teams this fall.
