His is a story of fitness and remarkable strength, of extreme dedication and relentless passion. But most of all, Jeff Lindo’s story reinforces the notion that golfers come in all shapes and sizes.
Of course, there’s good reason that Lindo’s shape and size leaves you in awe. After all, how many champion bodybuilders have you seen in competitive golf circles?
“It was always frowned upon,” laughed Lindo, who knows his passion for serious weightlifting would never be part of a golf teacher’s regimen. “The only time you heard fitness talk in golf was when it involved Gary Player.”

Golf was always first for Lindo, who lives in Swansea, Mass., but grew up in nearby Taunton, attended Coyle-Cassidy High School.
