NC State coach Press McPhaul watched from afar this summer as Joey Lenane continued to wait for a win as he put himself into contention in multiple tournaments.

Lenane (Dedham, Mass.) spent most of his junior golfing career as a top dog in New England. AJGA had him as the top-ranked junior golfer in Massachusetts in 2021 before he headed off to college. He had qualified for the 2021 US Junior Amateur.

The Xaverian golfer caught the eye of NC State McPhaul, so Lenane made his way south to play his college golf in Raleigh, North Carolina for the Wolfpack last fall.
