Olivia Williams pondered her golfing future and offered a simple statement.
“I just want to keep getting better.”
A simple statement, yes. But also one that highlights her ascension. Last summer, Williams (Cranston, R.I.) became the first player in Rhode Island to win Junior State Amateur and State Amateur titles back-to-back.
The road ahead for Williams is wide. The high school junior has already come a long way from the little sister who watched in awe as her brother, Brady Williams, hit golf shots. Like any beginner, she struggled. But once she hit that pure shot, it transformed her.
