The latest World Amateur Golf Rankings, with New Englanders well represented.
Michael Thorbjornsen of Wellesley, Mass., a junior at Stanford, slotted in the No. 2 position.
Ben James of Milford, Conn., a freshman at the University of Virginia, was 20th, while Rhode Islander Patrick Welch, the fifth-year senior at Oklahoma, came in at No. 33.
