Since she was seven-years-old, Carys Fennessy has had the goal to win the girls’ state championship in New Hampshire four times.
She’s halfway there.
However, in June when a stray golf ball struck her in the head while attending the second round of U.S. Open at The Country Club, things looked bleak. Defending her 2021 state title seemed doubtful; even just having the chance to play golf again in any capacity was up in the air.
