PLYMOUTH, Mass. — It was a day most Hornblower competitors will remember as one of the most challenging they ever had on a golf course. Twenty-four hours after a 90-degree day where Plymouth CC played firm and fast in the first round, the weather turned blustery, rainy, and raw on Saturday for the final round.
After 36 holes, Aidan Emmerich faced down a litany of challengers to win the 59th Hornblower Invitational with a score of 3-over par.
"It's a great tournament," Emmerich said after his win. "I haven't had a lot of luck here in the past."
For Emmerich, the third time was the charm. He missed the cut in his first two appearances.
