Many of these golfers don’t live far from The Country Club in Brookline, Mass., where the U.S. Open will be contested beginning on June 16.
But should they fancy a trip there, they will have to travel a circuitous route. We’re talking, of course, about U.S. Open Final Qualifying, which takes place June 6.
Nine qualifiers are going to be held in various sites, though the stop in Purchase, N.Y., at Century CC and Old Oaks CC, consists of the largest group of New Englanders.
