The phrase “mature beyond his/her years” can sometimes be tossed around a little too liberally when describing a junior golfer.
When offered, the reference is usually about something as specific as a young person’s ability to flight the ball down low in windy conditions or demonstrate a strong bounce-back factor after a three-putt green.
Not real maturity, per se.
In the case of the Northampton High golf team’s brotherly duo of Galen and Reilly Fowles, however, the mature label fits, way beyond their golf games.
