MassGolf executive director Jesse Menachem has been an integral part of the growth of golf over the last 15 years in the Bay State. Menachem cut his teeth as a Boatwright Intern with MassGolf and is now at the helm of a golf association that has over 110,00 members.
In 2013, at 27 years old, Menachem became the youngest executive director in the 150-year history of the organization. In that time, he also oversaw the merger of the women’s and men’s golf associations into what is now known as MassGolf.
In May, MassGolf rolled out its first economic impact report since 2012, and the results were impressive. Across the board, golf has benefitted numerous stakeholders in the game. This report puts numbers and facts behind the anecdotes that have been shared over the last few years about the booming popularity of the sport.
Between three USGA events, one LIV event, and the impressive showings of Massachusetts residents like Molly Smith, Matt Parziale, and Michael Thorbjorsen on the national stage, golf in the Bay State is healthy.
