Jim Salinetti grew up in Lee, Mass., and became one of the greatest amateurs in the history of Massachusetts golf.
He won the 1997, 1999, and 2000 Massachusetts Amateur championships. He was part of a dominant University of Rhode Island team that blitzed the New England golf scene and generated multiple professional golfers.
Salinetti turned professional after college and after grinding to make a living, returned home to Massachusetts for a more stable career as a head pro.
He’s been at Winchester CC for 14 years, one of the premier country clubs in the state. He’s ushering in new junior golfers and using his experiences as a junior to help kids fall in love with the sport.
