The present and future is bright in the world of NESCAC women's golf. The youth scattered across the eight teams is astounding and is garnering national attention.
With four teams ranked in the top 20 of the Clippd Division 3 national rankings, this spring is sure to provide a lot of great events in the region.
The NESCAC does their women's conference championship a bit differently. In the fall they have a qualifier. The top four teams earn spots in May's championship. They also give individual spots to players who finish in the top 15. The winner of the qualifier also earns the right to host the conference championship.
After an exceptional fall, Williams capped off the season with a win in the NESCAC qualifier, so the incredible Taconic will host the conference championship on May 4-5. Considering how strong Williams, Amherst (the defending champ), Middlebury, and Hamilton are, it's sure to be a shootout.
Let's meet the eight women's teams teeing it up in the NESCAC this spring.
