The U.S. Women's Amateur is the pinnacle of amateur golf. Qualifying for it takes patience and talent. On Monday, Morgan Smith and Molly Smith, sisters who have collected plenty of trophies in New England, will tee it up in Los Angeles at Bel-Air Country Club in the 156-player field.
The field is one of the strongest in women's amateur golf.
The Smith sisters earned their ticket to the event at the same qualifying venue on June 27 — Renaissance Golf Club in Haverhill, Mass.
But it was a wild path for Molly Smith to earn a ticket to join her sister there.
