The New Hampshire state high school championship awarded individual championship titles on Saturday at Beaver Meadow Golf Club. The format for the Granite State's high school championship is different from the other states in the region.
On Thursday, the players in all four divisions teed it up in hopes of winning a team title. Then the individuals with the lowest scores in each division moved on to the second round to play for the 36-hole individual state championship.
In Division 1, Concord took home the team title with a team score 383 (+23) at Canterbury Woods golf course. Hanover (393), Londonderry (397) and Bedford (398) rounded out the top four finishers.
Individually, Jascha Johnston of Exeter fired a 2-under par 70 on Thursday to hold a one-shot lead heading into the second round. The 2021 state champion, Johnston was looking to reclaim the title he won as a freshman. In 2022, Johnston lost out to teammate Connor Allard after a disappointing second round allowed Allard to pass him on the leaderboard.
