In late May, at the end of a long, chilly, wet and full day of golf, Jim Cilley and Mike Mahan got to celebrate a victory more than a decade in the making.
Cilley rolled in a birdie putt on the fourth playoff hole to give the duo a win in the New Hampshire Four-Ball Championship, one they first captured in 2010 and have contended in seemingly every year since.
Four Ball partnerships come and go, but not only have Cilley and Mahan, both 41, kept theirs together, they’ve carried it into a different stage of their lives.
And had a good time doing it.
