At 4 years old, Arabella Lopez, had a golf swing that made her dad stop in his tracks. It started in the backyard with a small plastic golf club.
“I couldn’t believe it. She looked like a natural,” her dad, Luis Lopez, said.
The next step for Luis was to get Arabella some actual clubs. So he swung through a flea market near his Connecticut home called the “Minks to Sinks.” Lucky for Lopez, golf clubs fit into that wide range of items at this annual bazaar.
He forked over 15 bucks and headed home with three golf clubs.
The next step: Instruction.
Luis Lopez ran a dance studio for 25 years, so he understands the value of teaching kids at an early age while also allowing them to fall in love with the activity.
