After a season of nine-hole matches, the 18-hole team and individual championships seem to help the cream rise to the top.
In Maine, some of the same players who found success in recent years once again grabbed a trophy at Natanis Golf Club in Vassalboro for the state championships.
In Class A, the top three teams were separated by just seven shots. Falmouth came out on top with a team total score of 312 (+24). Dante Iannetta led the way for Falmouth with a 74. Johnny Hwang (78), Anthony Graceffa (80), and Owen Woolworth (80) were the other counting scores for the Navigators.
Thorton finished in second place with a 316 team score and Brunswick rounded out the top three with a 319.
