This high school golf season is a historic one in the state of Connecticut. For a number of years there had been a debate about whether to move the boys’ season to the fall. This year that change finally happened, at least in part. Fifty-two boys teams competed last fall, with the remaining teams set to compete this spring. On the girls’ side, the season stayed put with all teams scheduled to compete in the spring.

Our teams to watch include Fairfield, Tolland, Portland and St. Paul.

And our golfers to watch include Brett Chodos, Matthew Downes, Will Huntington, Luke Karpiej, Mike Rothberg, Bradley Sawka and Luke Stennett.

Let’s examine the biggest storylines in Connecticut’s school golf season.
