Maintaining the torrid start to his collegiate career, Ben James of Milford, Conn., closed with 69 for 5-under 211 for the University of Virginia and won the Hamptons Intercollegiate by a whopping nine strokes at heralded Maidstone on Long Island.
It’s the second win in three starts for James, who has also been the catalyst for two team triumphs.
The Cavaliers placed James and all four of his teammates in the top seven, which accounted for a dominating 35-stroke victory.
