Connecticut will be the epicenter of professional golf in June when the Travellers Championship returns to TPC River Highlands (Cromwell, Conn.). This isn't a new event on the schedule, but it will look different from years past now that the PGA Tour has selected it as one of its "designated events." While the field has always been strong, now it will be one of the strongest of the PGA Tour season.
In addition to the Travelers Championship June 22-25, the Connecticut golfing calendar is filled with compelling men’s, women’s, senior and junior competitions, including the 120th State Amateur at Ridgewood Country Club.
We’ve compiled a list of major competitions to be contested in the state this spring, summer and fall.
